NurseStudy.Net is a sole proprietorship operated by Anna Curran. This Privacy Policy explains how NurseStudy.Net, including the NurseStudy Prep service (“NurseStudy.Net,” “NurseStudy Prep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or use prep.nursestudy.net and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account and contact information: your name, email address, username, password, and information you provide when contacting us.
• Subscription and transaction information: your selected plan, trial and subscription status, transaction dates, payment status, and related records. Stripe collects and processes your full payment-card information. NurseStudy.Net does not store full payment-card numbers.
• Learning and Service-use information: practice-question responses, quiz progress, scores, course activity, and support communications.
• Device and online activity information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, approximate location inferred from IP address, timestamps, and cookies or similar identifiers used to operate and secure the Service.
• Information from service providers: information received from Stripe, website hosting and security providers, WordPress, LearnDash, email providers, and other vendors that help operate the Service.

Do not submit patient information, protected health information, Social Security numbers, full payment-card details, or other sensitive information through the Service or by email.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

• provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service;
• create and administer accounts, trials, subscriptions, and course access;
• process payments, prevent fraud, and maintain transaction records;
• send account, receipt, trial, renewal, cancellation, security, and service messages;
• respond to support, billing, cancellation, and privacy requests;
• understand use of the Service, troubleshoot problems, and protect the Service; and
• comply with law and enforce our agreements.

We will obtain any consent required by law before sending marketing messages. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by emailing support@nursestudy.net.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the Service working, maintain login sessions, remember preferences, understand use, prevent fraud, and protect accounts. You can limit some cookies through your browser, but parts of the Service may not work correctly.

We do not currently sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

• service providers that operate or support the Service, including Stripe, website hosting, WordPress, LearnDash, email, security, and technical-support providers;
• professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and tax professionals when reasonably necessary;
• government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the Service; and
• a buyer, successor, or participant in a potential business transaction involving all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and tax records, process subscriptions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the reason it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about our processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain processing.

To submit a privacy request, email support@nursestudy.net with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request.

7. California privacy notice

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, when those laws apply. These rights may include the right to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; to receive information about collection and disclosure; to opt out of sale or sharing; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 1 from you, your device, and our service providers for the purposes described in Section 2. We may have disclosed those categories to the recipients described in Section 4 for business purposes. We do not sell personal information for money or knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

California residents may submit a request by emailing support@nursestudy.net. An authorized agent may submit a request when permitted by law, subject to reasonable verification.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, email support@nursestudy.net.

9. International users

NurseStudy.Net is based in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
